Podcasting

I have made and posted a podcast before and I think that it would be a great tool to use in a classroom. For example you could record your lesson every day and post it to a website, then if a student is gone they could access the site, download the podcast, and then they would have your lesson from that day. 

D2L

I think that D2L is the best CMS website by far, it has the best user interface, and is the all around easiest to use. I have talked to people who have used both Blackboard and D2L, and they say that D2L is the by far the best site. 

Wiki's

I think its cool that anybody can edit a Wiki, this can really help keep the information update and current, however this could also mean that someone could add information that is false. I think that its stupid to ban Wiki as an information source for students because i use it all the time and love it, and everything that i have found on a wiki site has been true. I edited the Free Beer and Hotwings wiki, however this wiki has been known to have material which would be considered inappropriate for class.

Google & Zoho

After using Google Docs and using Zoho I noticed that Google was much easier to use and had a better user interface. I did not like the way Zoho was put together and when i tried to print off my spread sheet it came out looking like crap, so I don't know what happened there. But I do think that the Google Docs application could come in very handy, I could definalty see myself using this application in the future, its easy to use, and most importantly its free. So I would recommed the Google Docs application, and definatley not reccomend the Zoho application.

RSS Feeds

As of now I do not really have a use for an RSS feed, I dont read a lot on line, and the sites that i do frequent I have in my bookmarked tabs on my FireFox Browser. Maybe some day in the future when I am a teacher and do actually read the news or professional journals then I would have a use for and RSS feed, but as of now I have enough time to just go to the differnet sites and look for what I want to read.

This would be a great activity for elementary school students if for some reason you could not use the gym or go outside.

Facebook

I use Facebook for social networking because I like the interface and it is much easier to use then Myspace. I had a Myspace account for awhile but the more I used it the less I liked it. So now I only use Facebook.
